Mama Bhanja Hill – (Thane West)

  

There are two hills, Mama Hill &  Bhanja Hill .There is Mama Dargah on top of the Mama Hill 

You have to take the steps which pass through the forest area during monsoon you may  find many small streams on the way . 

When you reach the top there is a junction , road to your left will lead you to Bhanja Hill & road to your right will lead to Mama Hill. 

Other spot to visit  around this place is Sherboudi (it’s a beautiful spot) has a mesmerizing view. 

Best time to Visit: June to Feb  …. Best during monsoons to enjoy & Winters 

Trekk time : It takes around  1.5 Hr to trek upto the hill

Please wear full Sleeves & full Pant if you are visiting the place or else you will not be allowed inside the Dargah 

How to reach: 

By Car / Bike :  You can put Mama-Bhanja Dargah   Lokmanya Nagar Thane West in  Google Maps to find the route 

By Taxi / Auto : From Thane west railway Station you will get Taxi / Auto till Lokmanya Nagar  Mama-Bhanja Dargah 

By Train : You have to get down in  Thane Railway Station (West) 

By Bus : From Thane West (Railway Station) you have to take bus to Lokmanya Nagar . From Lokmanya bus stop  it takes 5 mins to reach base  …..then  Trekkpoint starts 

From Thane West (Railway Station) you can take  Buses :   3, 23, 60 goes till Lokmanya Nagar bus stop. 

Food: if you are going for a trek you can carry your own food or carry some food along with you before you go up the hill 

Accommodation: In Thane options are available for stay 

Timing:   after 7am you can start your trekk. On Sunday  if one has to visit the Dargah on top  then 1pm to 3pm the Dargah is closed  you have to go  between 7am -1pm  or  3pm to 5pm.
